Welcome to Araboo!

The Araboo website was created in the belief that language learning is very similar to building strength, flexibility and endurance in sports. Practice and consolidation are key to success.

Ideal for in-class AND remote teaching

All the content in Araboo is ideal for independent learning because of the ubiquitous scaffolding and heavy recycling. All activities are self-marking (instant feedback), and teachers get a powerful score report that they can use to track student progress. All content can be set as a class assignment via Google Classroom. Extensive testing has shown to really boost confidence and therefore motivation levels inside the classroom.

The Listening courses will provide you with valuable practice and help you become familiar with authentic texts and language. Each listening lesson comes with a quiz to check your understanding. At the end of each listening lesson, you will find the transcript for the listening audio. Thanks to the vocabulary tasks, provided with each lesson, by practising only a few minutes a day, you will be able to learn vocabulary fast and accurately; and also know what they mean. This is a key component on the road to fluency.

The Grammar courses have been designed to gradually expand your command of a wide range of grammatical points through simple and in dual languages, Arabic and English. Each grammar lesson recycles the core grammar expected to be learnt for GCSE or A Level.

The Powerpoint Presentations come with answers so that the students learn by themselves or with their teacher’s guidance. We will add more powerpoint lessons every week.

The Short Stories section designed to develop the language-learner’s grasp of how the syntax of the target language works, coupled with the exposure to the Arab culture and heritage, improve the important skills of creative and critical thinking. Some of the stories come with audio to help improve understanding and listening skills.

The Downloads Hub is the place where students can find lots of worksheets, booklets and other resources. The sections are clearly marked for ease of access.

The Core Vocabulary section is very useful for the students as they can find any word easily. The vocabulary list is the one suggested by Edexcel for their GCSE syllabus. All you need is to type a word in English or Arabic to see if it is part of the Core Vocab.

More great content added every week: our pledge to you is to keep adding quality content. We have added lots of new resources since launching the platform.
